  1. Platform

    Solar Intelligence in Italian

Pick Italiano from the menu, and your account remembers it.

The app now speaks Italian as well as English. Browsers set to Italian open in Italian on the first visit, and the language you pick is saved to your account, so it follows you when you sign in elsewhere. Dates, numbers and prices read the Italian way.

    • Switch language from the account menu, the site header or your profile settings.
    • Sign-in, sign-up and password reset show their errors in your language.
  2. Orchestration

    Agent Workflows

Chain specialists into one job, and review every hand-off.

Workflows link specialist chats into a guided sequence, from finding a site to designing the plant to checking its policy fit. Each step passes its result to the next agent as a receipt you can review and trim before it is sent.

    • Four workflows at launch: site to policy with Caboto, Groove and Aniza; rooftop BIPV with Aria and then Lumi, Eco or Vega; materials to reliability with Lemmy and Quinn; market to finance with Alex, Spencer and Vega.
    • A step breadcrumb and a "What next?" card in every step chat, which grows from a Next pill naming who can continue.
    • Ordinary chats suggest the workflow they belong to, and offer the next specialist once they have a result.
    • Run cards on the Workflows page show where each run stands.
  3. Design & simulationIn private testing

    Peyote starts from the ground

Give it a coordinate. The slope decides the layout.

Peyote starts from a coordinate rather than a boundary you have already drawn. It reads the elevation, sets aside land that is too steep, removes water, buildings and roads, and searches tilt, direction and how densely to build.

    • PeyoteTerrain-Aware PV Layout Optimizer
  4. Design & simulationIn private testing

Demetra, for the crop under the array

How much shade a harvest can take. Not on the public roster.

Demetra turns row spacing, tilt and mounting height into the light a crop loses over its growing season, then compares that with a global crop-response model built with Politecnico di Milano. A yield you can spare comes back as the densest layout that still respects it. Demetra is not on the public roster.

    • DemetraAgrivoltaic Crop-Shading Analyst

  1. New agent

    Hestia, the ProLight Replication Guide

A new research specialist for replicating ProLight’s approaches in your district.

Hestia helps municipalities, housing providers, energy agencies and developers adapt the approaches demonstrated in the Horizon Europe ProLight project: stakeholder, funding, regulatory and ownership groundwork, shared district energy, social-housing renovation, renewable energy communities and ICT enablers. ProLight was a collaboration with Becquerel Institute Belgium.

    • Built on the same cited-research platform as Nova.
    • Available on every plan, the free one included.
    • Orion can plan Hestia into a multi-agent answer, sources included.
    • A deliverable of the ProLight project with Becquerel Institute Belgium (Horizon Europe grant 101079902).
  2. Orchestration

    Orion’s plans explain themselves

Every step says why that specialist was picked, and every credit links back to their work.

Orion’s plan card now explains, under each sub-question, why it chose that specialist, with a link to chat with them directly. In the final answer, each specialist’s credit is a clickable pill that opens their full contribution, and earlier plans stay in the thread as frozen cards instead of disappearing.

    • Steps your plan does not include are marked Locked, with the plan that unlocks them.
    • Research steps show the sources behind them.
  3. Platform

Chats keep working in the background

Switch conversations mid-answer. Nothing stops streaming.

Every conversation now has its own address and its own live stream. Start a long answer, open another chat, and come back to find it finished. Refresh, share the link or use Back and Forward, and the same conversation reopens.

  4. Platform

A public page for every specialist

Each agent now has its own page, open to everyone.

Every public specialist has a page that says what it does, lists its capabilities and the plan that includes it, and offers example questions that open straight in chat. Search engines and AI assistants can read them too.

  5. Orchestration

The prompt bar reads through typos

“reliabiliyty” still finds the reliability expert, and now spells it right.

The smart prompt bar already routed a misspelled word to the right specialist. Its match cards now show the term’s proper spelling, and a clear button or the Escape key resets it in one step.

  6. Cited research

Cited research, down to the page

Nova cites its sources claim by claim. Open the PDF at the exact passage.

Per-claim citations open the exact page of the source PDF.

Nova, our solar digitalization researcher, was rebuilt on a new retrieval platform shared by our research agents. Each claim in an answer carries a citation; open it and the source document appears at the cited page with the passage highlighted. Figures and tables from the documents appear inline.

    • Hybrid retrieval that combines meaning-based and keyword search, with honest relevance scores.
    • Tables are read by the model, inline or on demand.
    • Charts and diagrams from the documents are served only once an expert has validated their data.
  7. Design & simulation

Walk through your plant in 3D

Groove’s optimized layouts become a scene you can walk, fly and light by the hour.

Groove’s plant layouts now open as a 3D scene built from real modules, racks and tables, set in their surroundings. Move the sun through the day, watch trackers follow it, and walk or fly between the rows.

    • Rows split into real mechanical tables, sized by length.
    • A mini-map and a plant-spec panel over the scene.
    • The layouts come from Groove’s optimization engine, built with Politecnico di Milano.

  1. Orchestration

Priya shows her working, step by step

In an Orion plan, each phase of her price analysis is named as it happens.

When Orion puts Priya in a plan, you no longer watch a spinner while she runs the numbers. Each phase of her price analysis is named as it starts, such as filtering polysilicon data or calculating trends, and her answer streams in as she writes it.

    • Open a running step to follow its phases and answer in a panel beside the chat.
    • The other specialists in a plan stream their answers live too.
  2. Orchestration

Orion hands off to hands-on specialists

When a question needs a design or a simulation, Orion opens the right specialist.

Orion now knows which specialists do hands-on work, such as plant optimization, rooftop design and project finance. When a question needs one, it hands you over with an editable question instead of improvising. For research questions, it proposes a plan you can review, refine and run.

    • Plan approval cards: check the steps, then run the plan.
    • “Ask Orion anyway” when you would rather it answered itself.

  1. Orchestration

    The smart prompt bar

Start typing, and the right specialists step forward.

One prompt bar routes your question across every specialist. As you type, it matches your words to the agents who know that topic, shows how well each one fits, and lets you ask Orion or go straight to a specialist.

    • Arrived in the agents gallery on 30 July and on the homepage on 12 August.
    • Browse a whole shelf of specialists from a single pill.

  1. Design & simulation

    Caboto scouts land in Italy

A parcel, its risks, and a first look at getting there.

Caboto works across Italy. It screens a parcel for eligibility, weather and hazard risk, and setbacks from power lines, substations and pipelines, and it can rank candidate sites. It also sketches a route for a wind-turbine blade from a port to a site.

  2. Platform

Ask a question before you sign up

The landing page will take a question with no account.

A visitor can type a question on the landing page and continue as a guest, without creating an account. Signing up is offered when they want to keep the conversation.

  1. New agent

    Vega runs the project finance

Production in, then IRR, NPV, LCOE and payback.

Vega builds a project cash flow from a PVGIS production simulation: return, net present value, cost of energy, payback and debt cover across the project life. You set the country, the tariff and who owns the project; the starting figures come from the reference model of the Horizon Europe SEAMLESS-PV project.

  2. Design & simulation

Groove lays the plant out on the map

Draw the site. Groove searches tilt and the gap between rows.

Draw a site boundary on the satellite map, or upload one, and Groove searches tilt and row spacing for a fixed or tracking plant. You get a two-dimensional layout and the financial figures next to it, from an optimization engine built with Politecnico di Milano. Walking through that plant in 3D comes later.

  3. Design & simulation

Lumi renders the modules on the building

A photograph in, a finished BIPV picture out.

Upload a photo of a building, mark where the modules should go, pick a colour, and Lumi returns a render of that building with the modules in place. Ask for a different colour or a different coverage and it tries again.

  4. New agent

    Polaris, across a project’s life

Who does what, from development through decommissioning.

Polaris answers from the IEA PVPS Task 13 lifecycle framework: the phases of a PV project, the role that owns each activity, and how the work depends on what came before. It is there for anyone planning or reviewing a project.

  5. Design & simulation

    Hugo simulates the heat-pump retrofit

A full-year heat-pump retrofit. Not on the public roster.

Hugo simulates a home hour by hour for a year, with a heat pump, heat storage, rooftop PV, a battery and gas backup. It reports the gas saved, the seasonal performance and how much of the solar power the house uses. It is available to selected organizations and is not listed on the public roster.

    • The simulation follows an energy model built with Enerways.
    • HugoHeat Pump Retrofit Engineer
  6. New agent

Spencer, on where module prices are heading

The module price outlook, one question at a time.

Spencer answers from the Becquerel Institute’s PV module price outlook: quarterly price forecasts, cost stacks for TOPCon, heterojunction and back-contact modules, supply and demand through 2027, the raw materials behind the price, and how EU rules such as the Net-Zero Industry Act weigh on it.

    • Spot prices stay with Priya and today’s news with Atlas; Spencer covers the outlook.
    • Orion can plan Spencer into a multi-agent answer.
  7. Design & simulation

    Vista, on the façade

Modules on the wall, and the shade from next door. Not public.

Vista finds a building’s walls, places modules on them, and lets you block out windows and doors. It checks which of those modules the surrounding buildings shade. It is not on the public roster for now: we are refining the designer and revising its access policy.

    • VistaFaçade BIPV Designer

  1. Design & simulation

Aria draws the roof, then the modules

Outline the usable roof on a satellite view and the layout follows.

Aria opens a live satellite view of a building. You draw the roof that can take modules, choose a module, and the layout is placed at real size, flush on a slope or tilted on a flat roof with space between the rows.

  2. New agent

Lemmy, on materials and how they fail

Encapsulants, degradation, and what an inspection can see.

Lemmy explains how module materials age, the ways they fail in the field, and which inspections can detect them. Answers stay inside published reliability research, including IEA PVPS Task 13. Lemmy was built with the Polymer Competence Center Leoben (PCCL), an Austrian polymer research centre, and from this release is on the public roster.

  3. Cited research

    Atlas searches the live web

Recent coverage, with the articles named. Not on the public roster.

Atlas searches the web for recent solar news, reads the articles and answers with those sources named. It is not listed on the public roster.

    • AtlasWeb Search & Research

March 2026

3 releases

  1. Orchestration

    Orion plans the work

One question becomes a plan across specialists, then a single answer.

Orion takes a question that needs more than one specialist, shows a plan that names who it will ask, and returns their findings together. This first version is that plan card. Sending a design or a simulation to a hands-on specialist, and the prompt bar that matches as you type, come later.

    • Each part of the plan shows the specialist lined up for it.
    • Charts from those specialists can appear inside the answer.
  2. New agent

Vera, on PV plant best practice

Lifecycle practice for PV plants. Not on the public roster.

Vera answers from industry best-practice guidelines for building, checking, commissioning and operating a PV plant, including plants that add batteries. She is available to selected organizations and is not listed on the public roster.

    • VeraPV Plant Lifecycle Expert
  3. Design & simulation

Eco sizes the battery with the array

PV and storage sized together, with the cash flow beside the result.

Eco sizes a battery against a PV array for a home or a commercial roof, then shows self-consumption and the cash result, including payback and the trade-off between cost and covering your own use. From this release it is open on public plans.

December 2025

  1. New agent

    Quinn, on risk and reliability

How plants lose performance, and what that means for the investment.

Quinn advises owners, investors and inspection teams on degradation, the failures that matter, and how that risk sits in a bankability case. The answers draw on SolarBankability guidance and the reliability literature.

  1. New agent

    The team grows to eight

Pick the specialist whose job the question actually is.

Three weeks later the roster had doubled, each specialist with a profile and a chat of their own. Aniza joined to read Italian policy, Finn to look at manufacturers and Nina to trace how policy moves the market. Priya took over component prices and Sam arrived to cover integrated photovoltaics, alongside Alex, Emma and Nova.

    • The workspace was rebuilt, and the roster became where a question starts.
    • Sam draws on research from the Horizon Europe SEAMLESS-PV project.

  1. New agent

    BecqSight becomes Solar Intelligence

One analyst becomes a small team you hire.

The agents page, October 2025, rendered from the original code.

In October 2025 BecqSight became Solar Intelligence, and the single analyst became four specialists to hire. Alex kept the installed-capacity data and added a code interpreter, Maya tracked module prices, Emma followed the industry news, and Nova covered digitalization and AI across the PV value chain.

    • Hire the specialists you need; your team waits in the sidebar.
    • Suggested questions to start a chat from.

July 2025

  1. New agent

    Where it began

One agent, one dataset, one question at a time.

Solar Intelligence started in July 2025 at the Becquerel Institute as BecqSight, a single PV market analyst: an AI agent that answered questions over our installed-capacity data and drew its own charts. Everything on this page grew from it.

The first interface, July 2025, rendered from the original code with a chart the first agent drew.
